We are a group of students at Politecnico di Milano researching and trying to design a new service to help improve the lives of people with Type II Diabetes.

What is our big idea?

We know that Type II diabetes is on the increase around the world. We also know that there's many programs and lots of information available out there to help patients - but we are aware that making significant lifestyle changes is not as easy as listening to a doctor's advice or being given information online.

Our big idea to address this is to introduce pre-diabetic people to someone who has been living with Type II diabetes for over 10 years. Our hope is that by enabling face to face ongoing relationships in a fun and relaxed environment,the pre-diabetic person will be encouraged to make changes needed to prevent further Type II Diabetes development.

Specifically, we want to test if having a non-judgemental person available to them who has already walked the same path, and offers empathy, time and accountability can make a difference in the person's progress.

We want to find out from you if you think our idea, or some parts of our idea could work.
